Russia is losing population in all manner of way. Attraction to Europe and revulsion toward Moscow underlay both Euromaidan and the unpatriotic behavior of the Russian elite. Populations were declining even before the war. Now... Well, just an hour ago a Russian-speaking plumber from Kharkiv replaced a leaking pipe in my Berlin bathroom. Thanks, Putin!
